Today's tip comes from Bill. I thought it was rather creative. You see, I have this decorative flag that I've been wanting to hang. But, as you know, we have NO money. So it's been sitting outside waiting for a flag pole.
The picture on it is of a white covered bridge with Amish children playing in front of it. I used to live in a little cottage with a creek and a white covered bridge practically in the back yard. And it was in the heart of Amish country; I actually had many Amish neighbors. It was so quaint. I wanted to hang this flag as a way of bringing a little bit of Amish country right here to the trailer park.
So my darling Bill remembered that we had a flag pole in storage, but no bracket. However, we do have a couple of wrought iron shepherd's crooks from last summer. You know, the kind you hang flower baskets from? So he decided to improvise by hanging the flag pole between the two crooks. What do you think?
I like it better than a traditional flag pole; you can really see the picture. It truly is like having Amish country in the trailer park! Okay, not quite. But it is nice, isn't it?

Very creative indeed! And I think that is the proper way to hang it. How else can you read the 'Welcome Friends' so clearly?
