Here I Go

Jun11

Well, here I go.  The moment I've been avoiding for months.  My first post.  I tend to be a procrastinator by nature, and I've certainly done a good job of it on this project, but I'm starting now.  And, damn it, late is better than not at all.  After all, the title of this blog is Everyday Baby Steps!

Which brings me to the reason for my decision to start a blog in the first place.  In October, I left my job as a college counselor, a job which gave me a tremendous amount of personal fulfillment and satisfaction,  due to the terrible strain of a negative work environment.  Since then I've felt lost, with no structure, simply going through my days on auto pilot.  Did I mention that I left that job at three months pregnant and that I already had two kids, ages 8 and 6?  Yeah, you've probably got a better perspective on my situation now, don't you?  So here I am using this public avenue as a means to get myself back on track, reach my goals, and gain a sense of personal fulfillment once again. . . one baby step at a time.
